Cake Sale Success!
During the course of the summer a young swimmer set out to bake cakes to make needed funds for Oswestry Otters.
Lexi Roberts worked so hard through the summer holidays baking cakes for friends and family, she started off with £10 to get some ingredients then she baked, sold, out of her profits bought more ingredients, and kept going for 6 weeks. There’s been literally hundreds of cakes made, and for someone who was initially hoping just to double her money, she’s exceeded this massively and has raised £300 for the club.
These small act from our members like Lexi and Gina (who raised £225 from her ‘Win a beautiful hamper from Gillhams Deli’) really help the longevity of the club to keep providing a community swimming club for those living in the surrounding area.
